General Information for all league members
Results of Ballot Vote for Teams Applying To Join the LSDL Fun League Season XVII - Jan 09
Any Premier League team requires a YES majority vote if they would like to join The LSDL Fun League in the coming season. Twelve existing teams in the Fun League – meaning a majority of seven YES votes is needed before a Premier League team is accepted into the Fun League.
A majority has been reached in the ballot vote to accept or refuse entry to the three applying teams from the LSDL Premier League.
One of the three applying teams won a YES majority. Flaming Moes Team (Sai, Sar, Tum & Lek) will be joining the LSDL Fun League in Season XVII.
Season Start Date
The LSDL Premier League is awaiting confirmation of a new team who wishes to join, some confusion has been found over which bar will be hosting this new team. The Premier League will begin on Tuesday 20th January 2009. The Schedule for Season XVII will be made available when all information has been received from the Premier League Captains.
The LSDL Fun League will begin as scheduled on Tuesday 13th January 2009 with fourteen teams and two divisions. There are seven teams in each division, with a BYE.
LSDL Fun League Pre-Season Captains beer get-together
A beer get-together’ to pass out team packets, (schedule, score sheets, team captain contact list and handbook) for the LSDL Fun League, is scheduled for Sunday 11th January at D”Pelican Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 22 at 8PM. It's an informal gathering, not mandatory - Captains Pack will also be available online as printable PDF’s and emailed to all captains within the next day or three.
Promotion and demotion - Division One and Division Two of The LSDL Fun League
As requested by most, the Fun League has been split into two divisions, as yet no decision has been made and will not be made until the end of season XVII, regarding promotion and demotion between divisions. – with the ongoing expansion of the Fun League, we fully hope and intend to get additional teams into both the LSDL Premier and LSDL Fun league in Season XVIII later this year. With this in mind, it would be a waste of time to make this particular decision now, prematurely, as the whole layout may need changed/looked at, by the end of this coming season.
